The Smart Grid Council of Silicon Valley

The United States has a renewed push towards energy independence. The primary goals are reducing dependency on foreign oil and protecting the environment while continuing to support our country's prosperity.

Improving the electric grid's energy efficiency is a big contributor to achieving America's goals, it's an imperative known as the "Smart Grid."

The Smart Grid ecosystem is diverse with constituents in the Department of Energy (DOE), information technology providers, startup companies and investors.

We formed the Smart Grid Council of Silicon Valley to catalyze the innovative fervor that's required to transform the nation's electrical grid into the Smart Grid.
